Sabi ng dating Pangulong Marcos, ayon sa kanyang librong Today’s Revolution: Democracy, mayroong dalawang uri ng rebolusyon: ang Jacobin at liberal revolution. Ayon sa kanya:


“When we speak of revolution, we ordinarily think of that revolution which liquidates an entire ruling class as a precondition for the establishment of a new social order. This is the Jacobin type. But there is another type of revolution, which is carried out by the assimilation of the revolutionary classes existing order, resulting just the same in a different social order. This is the liberal type of revolution.”

Sinabi pa niya:


“What can we pursued, however, is more of a liberal than a Jacobin revolution.”


Sa ganitong konteksto, hindi nalalayo ang opinyon ng palasyo. Ngunit kung ang kahirapang dinaranas ng 75%-80% ng ating mamamayang Pilipino at ang garapalang katiwalian nangingibabaw ngayon, ano mas nararapat?
